Default Is the 2006 titanium exhaust different than the CS

Besides having the four oval tips, is the titanium edition exhaust any different than the regular Cayenne S? Just curious...

Nope. Mine was no different than a standard CS.

The exhaust does sound sweet- I figured that could have been the way all the CS's sound but was never sure. I agree- the looks are great! I didn't even know what a titanium edition was, but knew the local dealer had 3 leftovers on the lot when I just wandered onto the lot. When we started talking rough purchase price numbers and it seemed like a testdrive was in order as the numbers were in range, the salesman got the keys and pulled it out as it was backed up to a fence. When I heard the low burbling/rumbling exhaust and saw those tips that was a very very pleasant surprise!!! Told my wife this was the car/truck for us! Titanium editions rock (in my humble opinion )

Of course, those tips are an option on the standard Cayennes as well. I don't know how mine sounds compared to a Titanium Edition, but mine sounds quite good!

Just the tips. I think the S sounds the best. The Turbo seems to be quieter, probably because the turbochargers muffle the exhaust by nature. And the V6 is loud when floored but lacks the low rumble sound. And yes, I am biased

PS Very surprised dealers still have 06 leftover, and your dealers have 3?!?! They better give you one hell of a discount!!!

Agreed. By "standard Cayennes" I meant non-Titanium editions. Mine is a Cayenne S.

I have same Tit.S .. the rumble sound is definitely different than standard S which I also had.. as far as different I really have no idea if mechanically it is different but IMHO think it is the best look of all variants Turbo or S.. new or old. I do not like the new enclosed look of the 08's exhaust.

I should clairify- this was back in April 2007. They had 2 left after I bought mine, but then a month or so later I noticed another 2-3 regular 2006 S's- they must have traded with another dealer or something...

I did get a great deal anyway, as they had 2008's in the showroom and the 3 2006 titaniums in the back to get rid of.

MadFox,

You've got a cat bypass on your current Cayenne, right? I've been thinking about making that change.
