From Europe ( French boy from Grand Duchy of Luxembourg), The big jump! Next week I will drive a 2004 Cayenne TT, and I am fully confident on the reliability of this car. Right, Ignition coil is the main issue, but this trouble don't affect all cars! I hope to enjoy driving my car. IT IS A PORSHE GUYS!

Upon further introspection, if there was ever someone who deserved a beta Cayenne....it would be the French.

Enjoy!

C'mon, Lewis. There must be something that's keeping you here with us. It can't just all be sadistic voyeurism. There must be a streak of masochism in there somewhere. Come back into the pool, the water's warm - although it is a funny shade of yellow down in Peter the Great's end.

Here is your answer (articulated quite well in the last 15 seconds)

Am I correct to ***-ume you were referring to me? If so, why would you say I only have one eye?

Given that you appear to be one of the few ladies on the board, and given that I did stumble on your picture in a different thread which indicated you had two fully functional eyes, my reference was indeed pointing to the one eye you utilize behind your lens.

Nice work.

Given the amount of travel I do, I need to motivate myself to bring my digital SLR along more often so that I could actually contribute a worthy picture or two. However my folder is not as thick as yours (I checked) therefore I will not embarass myself by offering that as a first attempt.

My '04 S had a build date of November 2003, and was first sold new on December 24th, 2003 (helluva nice Xmas present I must say). So I guess that makes it an Alpha right?

I had never heard of the terms Alpha/Beta models until I joined here, so please forgive my ignorance this time? (oh and the time before that also please?...and well...there was this one more time before that one even..but I am not sure of I should count that one or not. Maybe ltc could elaborate some and possibly validate whether my ignorance had begun at that point or not? )

There is a lot of terminology that got its start right here in the Cayenne forum...mainly due to the old timers (aka Cayenne ownership survivors).

Like.....

Alpha (2003)
Beta (2004)
Pig
Purplesaurus Rex
Larry
Recall A506 (the Cowboy Belt Buckle)
"!"
Maglite and Racer's tape

I could go on, but I get teary eyed....fond memories.

Wiring Diagrams
Bi-Xenon "Upgrades"
Phone Prep Kit "Installation"
Bluetooth

And for the really intrepid.... THB

Like they say........ "you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!"

Worry not, I'm still here. Don't forget, I'm still running an 06 Turbo. Why it even pulled my 28' Haulmark and race car from Cresson (SW of Fort Worth) up to Hallett and back this past weekend. Mind you, I am running incandescent trailer lights.
