Best of luck with the new car.
ltc,

dreams are relative, sandards are relative, for me personally my first ever 911 being a 997 4S is worth doing

let's not forget that I am not a race car driver and certainly don't have the same outlook on cars...and BTW if it were you, which model would you choose as your first 911?

my idea of 4S is for two simple reasons, winters and a little more kick, and I should say I am not sure if this is THE choice.

OK... now I hide

It's more emotional actually. Some would argue that the 993 CxS was the most beautiful 911 and the last refinement of the 'air cooled' 911's. Some would also say that nothing sounds like an aircooled 911.

The 996/997 are more of the 'Hondas/Toyotas' of the 911 Porsche family. Very reliable, a bit overweight, a bit more Gran Touring feel compared to the 993 series, overproduced commodities compared to previous Porsche models.

Forum member 'Rome' bought a beautiful 993 C2S, and so far appears to be happy.

Not a dumb question at all.

No matter what Porsche you buy (Cayenne excluded of course), be happy and enjoy it.
