Default Tequipment Wheel Mouldings

I bought a set of these and the 17mm rear spacers. I'm wondering if I install the mouldings, will these spacers still make the car look good or will I need something like 25mm and put the 17mm in front? (I have Sport Technos 20x9 with the Techart lowering module)

Has anyone installed the mouldings? Do they look good once painted?

Wow, that looks great! I am just beginning to look at new Cayennes and noticed the wheel opening moldings with the $7,500 CDN wheel option!!! I like the look a lot, but can't fathom paying $7,500 for that look. Can someone tell me more about doing this mod myself...costs, what is involved, does the factory use spacers on this set-up also? Thanks in advance for any help provided...

Thanks for the pics ISUK, did you install yourself? Also, do you have the 17mm rear spacers?

ammo,

I had the dealer fit the kit when the car was new (2.5 years ago). It is fitted with the standard Cayenne wheel spacer kit (cannot find the original info but I think it is 17mm). Interestingly the widened track really improves cornering stability as my car rolls less than loaners I've had running 19" wheels on the standard track.

zedder,

I'm pretty sure the kit could be fitted as a DIY install though I doubt a bodyshop would charge a huge amount to paint and fit the kit as it is not that involved a job. Mine is unpainted and gives a good contrast to the titanium paint I think. The car is going at the end of the week but I have to say I've really enjoyed owning it.

I got my spacers for around 290 and mouldings for 500 from sunset. If i install the mouldings, I'll probably have to go 25mm on the rear and 15mm up front. And a nearby shop to paint em... decisions...

Were exteneded wheel bolts required with a 17mm spacer?
