I've got the Conti 4x4 Contact and have been very satisfied with them. They've done well in snow and handle well in dry, but I do have PASM so that probably improves dry handling a bit. I tow my 951 to up to 8 track events per year and I've gotten 20-22K miles out of two sets of Conti's so far.

Renn and catchacab, thanks for the input.

We don't get heavy snow here, but I do want half decent or better performance in the cold stuff.

Cheers

Continentals = POS
Worst wear and most "shimmy" vibration of the 3 sets I had on my Beta. Michelin by far the best tires I've had on the Cayenne.

Sorry - I'm running 275/40/20's. I wasn't aware they didn't offer the 19's. I'd go for the Michelin's.

All-season tires == POS in every season.

Good summer tires will perform great in any weather if the temperature is above the freezing point. If it dips below the freezing point all-seasons will work for a little longer but once it gets low enough (-10 Celcius or about 16 in 'merkin degrees) they turn into hockey pucks. I've experienced that with my relatives' Allroad here in Canada. I hit the brakes to stop at a stop sign and stopped at the next stop sign.
Don't be cheap. Get a set of winters for the two potential months of winter and enjoy decent performance from you summer tires the rest of the time. Your winters can be used for 4 years so the cost is not that bad.

Did they tow well and was the dry handling reasonable? If so, then this may be what I'm looking for.
Towed the trailer (big heavy enclosed with two Ultra Classic Hogs) down to Flordia from DC and back - worked great.

Handled very well in the dry & wet - the improvement in the light snow was incrediable compared to the orignal P's that were on there!

Zero Shimmy - my original P's had LOTS of shimmy!!!
