Well, I had teh chance to drive them both today. Drove the CS first and thought it was really nice. Then drove the CTTS, WOW!!! I was really impressed with that truck. It will definatly snap your head back. I was never a huge fan of teh Cayenne but they eventually grew on me and now after driving the CTTS, I waqs really impressed. Got a tough decision to make. Dealer wouldn't accept my $35k off MSRP offer. I know there are dealers selling them for $30k off. If i could pick up a new one for around $80-85k I would do it. Just curios. Anyone know how much dealers are kncking of on 08 CTT?

cableguy, I'd probably sell my Turbo S for $85-90K. The Window Sticker was $132K and change. I think the only thing it doesn't have is the Panorama Roof. I believe the mileage is around 2000 or so. Haven't looked lately. Mags

p.s. Why sell? I've run out of parking spaces and the 08 CLK63BS is due here in September.

p.s.s. Don't buy a Turbo S off anyone unless you live where it doesn't snow or you are willing to change from the stock Summer Tires to better all-season performance radials. With the standard CTTS Summer Hi-Performance Tires, even in the slightest snowfall on roads and the CTTS has poor braking capability! Magwheel

Now we may be talking apples and oranges since your talking TT but with your 997TT I might go with the 08 Cayenne S in my opinion.
Sounds like a salesman being gracious and kind to a customer by complementing your choice of the X5 while also subtly pushing the new 2008 inventory on the lot. The 2008s have a couple nice tweaks, but I found nothing to tempt me to trade in my 2004 CS on a 2008 CS. In fact, I would probably take the 2006 CTTS over the 2008 CTT.

he could have been blowing smoke up my dress Could have been but I like the pre 08 body better than the new body too.
I just got a smokin deal on the 4.8is Sticker was 72 and I was in the low 50's
Suckers got 315s on the rear! my GT3 only has 305s. The cayenne is the better off road machine
but the X5 I think is a better hiway cruiser -More HP(than the 06 S)-just my opinion though-with all due respect. I REALLY wanted to stay Porsche but couldnt pass up this deal. and I gotta admit MY x5 is a nice looking ride.
but there are alot of the regular X5 3.0s out there.

I have heard the 08 S's are superior over the 06's by several people. They claim the direct fuel injection gives much better performance than the 06 by more than just the numbers along with far better fuel economy.

That said I am not liking the new looks myself. I find if you can go for a turbo any turbo go for it. It is more than just the turbo you are gaining. The interior all leather dash and overall performance just makes it a fun toy. The TTS even that much better with the upgrades.

I was thinking of upgrading to an 08 but have decided to stick with the 04 for now.

BTW how did you like your Escalade. I was thinking of an 07 as a commuter car. I have heard lots of good things about the new model just wondering if the older model was a problem.

Escalade has been great. No problems whatsoever. Just getting board with it. My sister in law just went from teh 04 to an 07 and liked the improvements.

Yea, I have it on dealer plates. I knew I wasn't going to have it for long...no sense paying $$$$$ in tax.

so you are a dealer? or just in tight with the dealer that allowed you to do this? sorry, just confused as to how this can occur.
