pull off the whole tube, the maf is calibrate as a unit with the tube. you really arent supposed to touch them hence the odd fastner.
are you having some kind of issue or you just want to clean it ?

No problems in by 996 and boxster i clean every 6 months the air flow sensor
the cayenne must be more critical because i drive off road quite a few times.
is the cayenne different?
