Maybe if we post more pics of Enigma and her Cayenne.......
LTC has helped me immensely (off line) with my Cayenne set up and with locating my dedicated track car.
Although we never actually had lunch, I will tell him personally that you all miss him, when I see him next week-end...
Shamus, are we going to do lunch ever? You only live down the street from me.....

What did you get for a track car?
I might just have pictures of Lewis from the flight to Orlando....

Well understanding I am breaking into your house since I am just a 996 guy but I will be driving my Porsche out of Germany into Italy for a vacation around the 13th of May. I would love to head down to Southern Italy where I used to fly planes out of but is a bit much for a 5 day trip. By the way what did happen to LTC? Realizing to me that is an abbreviation for Lieutenant Colonel. Anyway I will but out now but I tend to look at your site and read daily, I just do not own a Cayenne yet and so far you have not done a good job of convincing me that I want to buy one.
Cheers

If I recall correctly, LTC once mentioned that he might consider doing something with Dr. W's corpse ... something about taking pictures with/next/atop(?) it. Really, don't remember the details, but you get my point :-D
I could definitely see LTC taking on the role of Stuntman Mike from Tarantino's latest "Death Proof" and doing to PCNA what he has done onto all of those poor girls

LTC is probably where I am with the forum.. it has gotten a little ho-hum. I'm now at 10K and 6 months and haven't seen the dealer except to buy it and to have the one week later shakedown on minor issues. I think I'm having withdrawal symptoms as I used the Beta visits to drool over the 911's... forums are for getting problems resolved... and I don't have any (well car problems that is)!

It's ok, MadFox ... I started having problems on my '05 CS somewhere around 10k, give or take a few thousand miles. So, given that your Tit.S are from 2006, I say you've got another 10k worry-free miles
P.S. I'm joking, of course :-D

Okay ZERO Problems in 10K and 6 months on my new Tit.S.. so, for the "newbies" and just so you know where the alpha/beta are coming from...and just for grins/giggles, here's why I joined the forum.. this is from my 3750 miles 3 month visit and many of these items the dealer (remember mine is one of the best in the country based on feedback here) couldn't fix:
1. TPMS intermittent wrong pressure, etc... diagnosed normal
2. Shifting sticks in D3 sometimes ... you guessed "normal" after testing
3. Fuel lid door not locking and not flush... fixed!!
4. Rear window washer leaks constantly... part special ordered
5. Nav/Radio sometimes off for no reason, sometimes 20 seconds before get to a screen.... ran diagnositic.. checks "normal"
6. Cold engine performance rough.. missing (COILS!!) .. "normal" use 93 (duh!)
7. Rear glass doesn't shut always (microswitch later).. "normal" but adjusted glass
8. Ashtray rattles.. fixed rattle
9 Clock shows noon as 1200 AM... technician doesn't fully understand customer concern
10. Passenger cable cover missing.. replaced plastic part
11. Garage door programming not working.. (ultimately got 4 page instructions from rennlist) appears to be "normal" however cannot duplicate customer's concern
and at 8000 miles 6months (yes, many visits in between, I didn't go a month without going to the dealer about some or other issues):
1. NAV/PCM no sound.. intermittent .. will just shut off ... tested "normal" (later from rennlist got PCM upgrade TSB that dealer didn't have)
2. Shift sticks in 3rd gear sometimes.. (DME from rennlist) dealer "normal"
3. Rear window still leaks after new part.. pops open.. "special order new part"
4. Missing .. some hesistation.. ticking noise at idle (COILS Rennlist).. still "normal" from dealer and maybe some "bad gas"
5. Floor Heater not working .. cold plus clicking noise (Rennlist later A/C solonoid).. dealer at this time.. "normal"
6. Dashboard sealing strip is protruding in front of pax
7. Headlight warning light intermittent comes on.. "normal"
8. Vibration/Shimmy Tires (God bless rennlist).. "normal" wear.. time for new tires??? lived with it for 7K more?!
OKAY>>> See why my Cayenne Life is much mo' better.
END OF
ON TOPIC... LTC is a FORMER beta owner who had trailer lighting issues to boot (the main reason he bought the beast was to tow his track car)... it's bad memories.. and there isn't as much stuff wrong with the new ones.. and why just keep re-treading for the new guys here with CPO alpha/betas (they were warned).. just hit the search function and read LTC's old posts!

ahhhh those were the days, I remember them well
When WE always knew more about how to fix it than they did, how WE transfered knowledge from dealer to dealer.
The Rear Washer Drip and the hatch pop
The Carden Shaft which was never have supposed to have reached our shores.
The dealers who did not know the meaning of the words "Snow Tires" and the wonderfull pictures from the first winter of Cayennes hitting garage doors after sliding on ice, or in ditches etc with their wonderfull 20 inch Sport Technos on slicks.
OH and the fools who thought the laws of physics did not apply to them when its snowing.
Ahh those were the days
Of Gary and his mountaineering trips in Texas proving the goat like qualities were really there and the HWFMR crews with spares on the roofs or anywhere they could stow them.
Of high speed photographers going strange places for landscape shots
The fun of dismantling the car for the first time and the folly of some impossible projects (phones, lights)
You all know who I am talking about
The wheel barrow toting concrete bay area hero who really USED the truck as a truck
Those were the days
