Default yeah...

with the 08's already hitting the showrooms, the 06's suddenly have become ballast. expect the deals to just keep getting better as the 08's become the "face" of the new cayenne. however, temper your ardor with the following thoughts..

1) make the best deal that you can, because the pre-facelift cayennes of all initials are about to take a slam-dunk on value. the triple combo of new bodystyle, new performance in the 08's and the fact that porsche is dumping the 06's overboard as fast as the ink will dry will be nearly a perfect storm.

2) for the true horsepower junkies, the 08 does have some additional numbers to make it more appealing. of course, a new engine control system should give them years of incremental upgrades to work through.

Do the 08's have the crowd's favorite option; E-gas hesitation???

there's a new cayenne turbo S for selling for $99,334 (msrp was $134k). have a scan of the following thread.

Don't tell me you got yours at Newport Beach because a friend of mine went there last week after seeing mine and some sales guy told him they are selling them at MSRP

I was at Newport about 10 days ago and I was visiting with a salesman while getting my 911 serviced. He said that they are discounting the Cayennes and that there is also a factory incentive. So, I don't know who your friend spoke with, but I am sure that discounts can even be had at Newport. I was offered at least $5000 off sticker by them about 1 1/2 years ago when sales were still strong.
