Hey, guys. I'm new here. I've been used to performance sedans, having gone from the GS400 before all the performance sedans came out, to recently owning an 05 E55. I am now debating sticking with something like an M5 or getting the 2008 Cayenne Turbo.
My biggest thing would be that I might feel too high that I wouldnt feel secure when I want to have a little fun in the spring/summer. I hope that the Cayenne turbo woudl stick close to as well as the E55 (I know, it wasnt that car's strong point either).
Any guidance you current owners could give would be greatly appreciated.

I will obviously take it out for a test drive, but will not be able to get the kind of experience an owner could. Im sure there might be people who have owned similar cars to provide a comparison as well.

Same here. The E-55 doesn't handle that well, the Cayenne corners a lot flatter. The E-55 is a rocket but I'll never own another one.

I owned a E55 and a Cayenne Turbo at the same time. IMO the Cayenne had better steering feel than the E although not as fast.
The interior of the CTT was much better than the E as far as materials used and the stereo in the CTT was by far better than the E.
I ended up selling the 55 first , but I do miss that stump-pulling torque from time to time.
Just beware of insane depreciation if you buy the CTT, they drop in value like lead balloons!
My advice would be to lease the CTT or buy a CPO E55 that has already taken a hit, also if you can get a 06 E55 as the SBC was drastically improved in its final year.
Both cars averaged around 13- 14 mpg, I have a heavy foot!
If you are a drag racer the E-55 is the car of choice, the CTT would be a better overall package.

Thanks for that insight. I already owned the E55, and I have no clear direction to go to now. That is why Im asking, but it sounds like leasing might be an option maybe for 2 years, then I re-evaluate when something like the panamera comes out.
