Where in VA are you located? How do you get away with no front plate?

(c)Ashburn. I've had the GTS for a little over a year and never put the plate on. When I bought it it came with a front plate mount, but I removed it the first day. When my new plates came in I just put one of them in the glovebox. I used to live in Fairfax who are notorious for being **** watchdogs about everything and never had a problem. I've been pulled over once but just given a warning (going 2 mph over the speed limit, yes...2 mph) he was a young cop in his 20s. If I ever do get pulled over I will just take the plate out of the glovebox and ask the officer where I should mount it. Worst case you get a fixit ticket... Waze is by best friend by the way

Be careful if you decide to purchase that book. It is written in German only (unlike it's brethren "40 yrs Air-Cooled 911 Turbo" book which is written in both German and English... which btw, Andreas Gabriel & Norbert Franz did a PHENOMINAL job with (I have a signed copy).. )

Btw, I do indeed OWN the Cayenne book,... but have never unwrapped it. I'm waiting till I can read German..... or decide to sell it first.

Just joined. My 2nd post. Great info on this forum. New (to me) 06 Cayenne TT in Meerblau (guess it was not a very popular color because I have never seen another). Liked these cars for a long time and depreciation has finally made them attainable. My budget could not get me into a 958 so I was looking at a 955 turbo or a 957 S with a little $$ left over just in case. In the end I went with the 955 turbo. It replaced my Mercedes W163 ML but what a performance difference. Had a 951 back in the day when there were no such things as digital cameras+this older B5 twin turbo S4 Audi, but the Cayenne is in another league entirely.
