Brake Light, replacement
I just got another warning light (along with my service light) that said to check Brake Lights. I am assuming that one of them is burnt out.
Anyone know the part number for the bulb and has anyone done this already? Is it a quickie fix or some pain in the **** repair (like with my old 911)?

Ok, Ok, I broke out the manual. Much to my dismay, after removing the housing, I discovered that the manual was in error. They had the bulbs completely bass ackwards and the brake light is actually the top bulb, not the bottom one as the manual suggested.
Anyhow, common sense took over and "repair" is complete.

OK well I'm glad I researched this forum and found out about the owner's manual mistake. I assume that all bulbs are the same? Any link to which housing is for which light as the manual is incorrect?

The bulb identification was correct, its placement in the diagram was incorrect. I just removed the housing, pulled out the bulb and took it with me to find a replacement. Dealer was closed so I just went to Kragen and found the bulb (also mis-idenfied in their manuals).

I had replaced a bulb sometime ago, and the next time I was in at the dealer, the service manager said they replaced the bulbs free. This is same dealer that charged me for the trailer light coupling device that one needs to plug trailer lights, but is displayed in the owner's manual. ltc, please overlook any comments in this thread that refer to trailer lights, etc!
