I'll play around with all this information when I get the car back. It's getting the rather expensive Porsche phone put into it. I went to get something out of yesterday and they have it all torn apart. All the seats are out of it. To put the phone in? Must be one hell of a phone.

Porsche does do things differently.

Tried it almost like you describe..except I left the front windows down and set the fob on the cover for the back. Not only are you correct, but the doors will not unlock from the rocker....inactive.......so I pulled the door handle twice and opened the door set off the alarm then climbed in back to retrieve the key. I did not try the full hatch, just the window. Guessing that the hatch door is like the other doors.

I was unable to duplicate my friends fiasco....I will get clarification next time I see him
