It's been about 4000 miles since my last dealer service and oil change... and yesterday my Oil light came on. When I got home and checked the oil, it was on the "MIN" of the dipstick. I'm concerned since the mileage since my last change is less than the recommended interval and yet my oil consumption seems unusual.

The dealer and the owners manual specify oil change at every 6000 miles.
I typically have the oil service every 3000-4000 miles for my own satisfaction.

Any ideas why I've consumed so much oil this time? I have no other indications or unusual events.

Turbo Cayenne's will use around a quart every 2000-3000 miles according to my dealer.

1 qt every 1000 miles is accecpatable on cayennes and i have seen 2 that did 2 qts every 1200 miles
