The 04 Turbos do have some known glitches with them. The best strategy is to wait another year to get a used '05 or '06 Turbo.

For what you pay for a new "S" you could look at used turbos which are so much more car. I think dealers are much more negotiable on the used cars.
That's exactly what I did. I weighed the options and decided for the $60K - $65K I had in my budget a clean, late production '04 CTT was the one I wanted. I was diligent in my search, researched every potential opportunity with my local servicing dealer (been a P-Car owner for a while) as well as the listed servicing dealer on every VIN and finally found a nice 20K mile CTT with the color / options I wanted. $63,500 later it was mine and I've been very happy with my decision.

Thumbs up

AWSOME!! Thanks for al the info! I was back at the dealer today to testdrive the S. I didn't really learn much since we were stuck in traffic most of the time and the few chances I had to open it up a bit the sales guy did this stupid move where he would dramatically grab for the handles to "hold on". (Man, I really hate these guys) I also got in their face a little bit about the high price they were quoting me. They are holding fast @ 920 mo. One way or another I am not buying from these people.

I'm also wondering it I should just wait a few months and get an 08'. Are their going to be any real differences between the 07' and 08' models?

THX!
