Just had the following done:
New rear hatch seals, to fix the leak in the back I hope. Didn't work completely. Going back in.
New key fobs
They threw in a tow hook for the donut
Still no fault code for the coils though,

Why were the key fobs replaced??? Did you have to fight for that since most issues with them could be "normal wear and tear"?

There was a TSB for the fob's...I think it has to do with the short distance of the remotes

No fight at all. Told then I was having an issue with the passenger door not unlocking with the other doors. They replaced both fobs.

Now if I could get them to replace the coils . . . .

Steering was making a titanic-like sound in reverse and in park when cold. Was low on P/S fluid. Reflushed.

The return of the thump. While in reverse. Rather different from the clunk/thump I had before. It disappeared after the dealer inspected & adjusted the driveline. Was told that cardigan (whazzup, droptop) shaft is looking good.

To be done: lumbar support in driver's seat. Broke down for the 3rd time, I suspect it will be done for free, just as the above items.

P.S. Yes, I am very nekkid

In the process of having the alarm horn replaced (no sounds when arming alarm or when alarm was tripped). Various/assundry trim issues (cover on rear seatbelt, cover under rear seat headrests, etc.).

Heading back this week to complain about short range of key fobs and excessive wind noise on the road (was driving for awhile this past weekend with the radio off and was surprised by how much wind noise there was).

Default Wow! I thought four Audi's would prepare me, but...

Purchased 08/31/2007, 2004 Porsche Cayenne S certified pre-owned.

From 10/24/2007 through 11/07/2007, the following work was performed:

- "Major Service" (a packaged maintenance offering by the dealer)
- Replaced transmission multi-function switch (because of a shifting complaint)
- Replaced shift **** (cosmetic, non-warranty)
- Replaced rear-view mirror cable conduit
- Replaced rear cup holder
- Replaced drivers side seat memory switch module (
- Lubricated steering column (because of noise complaint)
- Lubricated right-rear seat latch (because of noise complaint)
- Replaced blend door motors

From 12/06/2007 through 01/16/2008, the following work was performed:

- Transmission replaced
- Right-rear reading light replaced

From 01/16/2008 through 01/23/2008, the following work was performed:

- Transmission control module replaced

From 02/06/2008 though 02/13/2008, the following work is being performed:

- Passenger's side A-pillar gets wet when it is raining. Dealer confirmed a faulty windshield seal is the problem. Problem unresolved (leaks are exclude from the warranty)
- Replace cornering lamps
- Replace right-turn signal

Current:

- Porsche corporate denied appeal to replace faulty windshield seal
- Driver's side headlamp washer is leaking

How many miles?

Also i would be concerned about the windshield leak. I had a similar issue with something like this. Ended up the dealership crashed my car and repaired it without informing me. This was why corporate denied the repair. The delaership ended up having to buy it back to avoid a nasty lawsuit. Not a Porsche though.

Purchased with 53k. Now has 63k. Clean Carfax. Carmax, who is usually good at spotting those kind of things, didn't spot anything when I received an appraisal from them. As far as I can tell, OEM windshield.

I have 28k miles and had the following addressed on my 2005 CTT:
- PCM 2 replaced (freezing up)
- headligths replaced (small cracking on lenses - UV clearcoat failure)
- center armrest replaced (cosmetic faults)
- rear window shade replaced (driver side rear)
- roof rails on Aluminum roof rack replaced for cracking finish
- rear hatch gas tubes replaced (not lifting hatch well)
- rear cargo net holder door replaced (plastic broken)

Not fixed:
- key fobs showing sever "denting" on the unlock button despite having the Porsche Entry and Drive (keyless option) and I don't use the keys to unlock or lock the car.

48872, nakedness approaching:
rear lip cover on the back sill (wasn't springing back up)
Torque converter (this was done at the tech's recommendation. Shifts are much smoother now.

I will say something right now. There is no way that a coil pack caused a cam sensor to fail.
This was probably a concern that was flagged earlier but the fault was not consistantly present. Your coil packs were just a real obvious problem though, and they are an updated coil pack for the early Cayenne
