Default How is BMW's 'new' RTTI any different than the Cayenne's Nav?

My Cayenne currently shows me current traffic conditions and if I so choose, it will route me around them. Am I missing something or how is BMW's new Real Time Traffic Information so groundbreaking?

I agree but you should understand that that function was not available in the US before now. Actually the RTTI traffic people should be making the announcement not BMW.

I undestand that the standard is not the one adopted in Europe however (what a suprise)

Are you guys talking about the "Traffic Program" feature that is in PCM 2?

Can anyone explain how it works? I have mine turned on but never got anything.

No that uses radio station broadcasts to switch to traffic reports.

The other system uses broadcast trafic congestion data and the nav system takes this into account when guiding you.

Does anyone out there get anything on their Traffic Program?

Is there a list of stations/frequencies to tune in to?

Its related to the radio stations in your area, I have had interuptions in CA in other cars. I hate it and run with it turned off.
