When you're out of state, cops aren't going to stop you for an inspection item unless it's blatantly unsafe. Laws on tint and plates differ state to state.

Here in MD you're required to run a front plate, as well as a max 35% tint. FTS. The only vehicle I run a front plate on is my Suburban and that's because I paid extra for it.

Most cops around here don't hassle you if you're not driving like an asshat.

As far as giving cops a reason to stop me, I don't see it as a big deal. If you're drinking, don't StrekStrekStrekStreking drive. Pretty simple. A beverage with dinner or at happy hour won't put you over the limit, so enjoy it responsibly or stay the StrekStrekStrekStrek off the roads

Just put a front plate on my CS.

Got a ticket in the O'Hare parking garage for no front plate.

I guess Chicago is pulling out all the stops to raise revenues.
