I wore out a set of Michelins in only 6k... Turns out the folks who mounted and balanced them put 46lbs of air in them... No one's fault but my own, but by the time I noticed they were gone... down to the wear bars in the center... Oh the joys of Porsche ownership!

I wore my Contis out in <7000 miles (20"). While I'd love to go with the Diamaris N1, I'm going to give the Toyo Proxes S/T a shot. They have a 275/40/20 with a 106 load rating. Only W-rated, but wear rating of 420. If I don't like, will switch to Diamaris if I don't like them.

You could always equip the Cayenne with real 'pick up tires' and easily get 60K miles, so as long as you are aware of the consequences of lower speed/lower grip tires. I would guess that the majority of Cayenne buyers (based on the targeted demographic) would never notice the difference.
I would imagine a Cayenne Turbo (S) would be a lot of fun on a set of Hoosiers, at least for a lap or two.
Not a lot of mystery here, just physics.
