New member here--with some bad luck. Over the weekend, my 2.5 month old Cayenne was the victim of a "smash and grab" where the drivers side front window was shattered. It is amazing the damage that was done from the glass break. Exterior paint and trim scratches along with cuts to the door panel, sterring wheel, seat leather and scratches on the center console.

That is safety glass. It did break into NON sharp pieces. Look closely. What you are seeing is several pieces that have no borken away from eachother and have formed what looks like ONE large sharp piece.
Regardless, non-sharp still doesn't mean non-harmful. Glass is glass.

The glass was not sharp (at least not like the sharp pieces when you break kitchen glassware). But the pieces when "flying" through the car definately did cut/scratch a lot of items.

I have no idea what broke it....nothing was left in the car. My guess is a rock--they definately used some force as glass was spread everywhere, even laying on the passenger seat armrest.
Thankfully, repairs are almost complete. I should get it back later this week. By the way, AAA Insurance has been great to deal with.
