One thing I've noticed, PAG always shows static pictures of the Cayenne at load height yet they don't allow the car to be driven at that height. It would seem that even they recognize that the vehicle looks better lower. Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine, I shouldn't have to pay an outside vendor $2000+ to adjust the running ride height. (I know, I know, there isn't enough suspension movement left at that height, the engineers did it for a reason, yada yada yada....)

Hmm, I like my Carmon Red CS, but this is red hot! I wonder how close it is to Guards Red and why PAG chose not to simply go with Guards Red rather than this so-called "Pure Red" color?

What's your opinion: If you were in the market for a Cayenne S, would you:

1. Get the Titanium Edition
2. Wait for the facelift next Feb
3. Get the standard 2006 model

??

Isn't pure red the red used for the calipers?

Per my PCNA rep, pure red IS guards red (only renamed), and the silver is polar silver.

I thought Dell's theory might be correct (Pure Red is the color of the brake calipers), but this puts a different twtist on it. It seems odd that Porsche would do away with the classic Guards Red moniker in favor of Pure Red. Will the entire Porsche line now adopt the Pure Red name rather than the Guards Red name. Does not make much sense to me.

Fwiw, I like the red.

I've always liked fire trucks, too...

The Pure Red name will only be used on the Cayenne--Guards Red will be used on the sports cars. Color will be identical.

But it is a hot Cayenne. Pure marketing but worth it- first the CTS now the CSTi- all to move the remaining line until the facelift.

I was happy with my CS titanium color now I need the edition.

OK, one more time......

1. I'd rather get a root canal, without novacaine, from an epileptic dentist, who just found out I've been sleeping with his wife AND his daughter....than own another Cayenne.

2. I'd rather be caught in a trap and forced to amputate my limbs off with a rusty, dull toe nail clipper.....than own another Cayenne.

And for the record, I think I'll pass on the Panamera, like I did on the Carrera GT.......but thanks for thinking of me.

There have always been Jeeps in my driveway. The '80's Grand Wagoneers, had suffered from long bouts ouf "woodgrain engineering", where development efforts were cosmetic only.

It looks like Porsche has adopted that policy. Maybe next year they could offer a new color, "Pure Guards Red".
