I posted this over at Renntech hoping that was the more appropriate spot for my problem with no responses....but nonetheless here is my problem:

So my tequipment towing system came today and all the parts are accounted for EXCEPT inside the parts package I got 16 bolts instead of 8 like I should have reveived according to the TSB part listing. However, they are 2 different sets of 8 bolts. I can't figure out why I would have received them. The ones with the black rubber washer around the bolt look EXACTLY like the ones I removed from the old bumper except longer (SEE ATTACHED PICTURE). BUT.......the other set of 8 bolts appear to be the same length but look different and have what appear to be loctite sprayed on them.

ANY THOUGHTS?????

I sure don't want to install the worng bolts and really HATE having leftover parts

A couple of thoughts:

1. Contact your local dealer; there may be an update to the TSB.

2. There may be different screws for different versions of the hitch (1D6 vs 1D8) option.

3. PAG often has a thing about 're-using' bolts. If you remove a bolt that has has loctite applied, they will normally prefer/supply you with new bolts. Have you removed any bolts that look like the 8 with the blue loctite anywhere?

4. Is it too early to have a drink?

Dell, when I installed my hitch it came with the bolts that *do not* have the rubber grommets. I still have the old bumper and the bolts with grommets. I don't know why they would send you both two sets of bolts.
