Tonight in the 1st episode of season 6 of HBO's Soprano's, Tony surprises Carmela with a Cayenne Turbo. Later in the show Carmela goes to meet up with Johnny Sac's wife & they talk about it and show it again. Then later Carmela is out to dinner with another friend (I think its Big *****'s widow)and they show the Cayenne and talk about it a 4th time of the 1 hour show...The friend is driving a blue 2006 Corvette V06...

 

Yes, but check closely, even though they say so, it is not a turbo.

 

I know !!! I was so pissed at that. Someone screwed up big time. If you notice later in the show they dont show the front grill again...
I was also happy to see they picked the same color combo as mine....although mine actually is a turbo !! LOL

 

I KNEW I wasn't crazy, b/c first thing I thought when I saw the car is that it wasn't a Turbo.

Tony's just keeping a low profile :-D

 

Do you think they will build into the plot instances of Carmella getting pissed at never ending !'s appearing in her display? Perhaps Tony taking extra meds after dealing with a life of Cayenne ownership?

 

Maybe Tony will have to pay a visit to PCNA to get things "straightened out"

 

Obviously they figured the average American would not be able to tell what model it was, never mind if it was a Turbo or not. I have to agree my first words out were, he bought her an S.

Porsche must love the advertising on this one. I was just curious to see if they fit Johnny Sacks wife into the passenger seat.

Or even better Tony sends Christopher down to take care of the problems personally.

 

Carmella will be the one whacking Tony once she finds out it's not a Turbo :-D

 

I just watched it...dang she slammed the door kinda hard...ouch.

 

Tim C - I'm pretty sure it was my color (Prosecco), not Jarama Beige, but they are close.

 

I'm with Tim on this one it looked like Jarama to me too.

 

I did the rewind and freeze frame on my DVR - sure looked like my color - Maybe we will get to see more of it next week. It looked more gold/champaign than Jarama to us.

 

Wow you must have lots of time on your hands !! LOL Does the color matter? I wish they would have used the right model to start with....

I watched that again last night. I've yet to hear a Cayenne of any type sound like that. They must have duped in a Viper exhaust note.
