I hope they changed the plugs as well...cracked coils will usually leave fouled plugs.

Thought I would add these pix to compliment Wingless pictures earlier in this thread.
In order to get the design cover off the passenger side (left side when facing the front) you need to remove the engine stabilizer bar and loosen the airpump so you can lif that out of the way, its still tight but its less destructive.
The stabilizer bar is a straight forward 2 bolt remove
Last tip make sure you have a full set of torx style sockets and on the drivers side, cylinder 1 design cover screw is a bitch unless you remove the airbox, but if you have a small 1/4 drive ratchet you can just get it in.
I will not share the bad photo's until my dealers comments on the bad quality workmanship I found, ugh
The error was P0358, as you can see all 8 were cracked

Thank you for the tips. I replaced coils and plugs today and the 955/s is running nice now. Not at first. I had to drive it a bit. I purchased the parts from Sunset Porsche. clark, jeff porscheparts@sunsetimports.com latest updated coils are $33.93 each
spark plugs are $16.42 each
ALL factory Porsche Parts
all in stock. Dealer cost + 15%

It is likely a coil pack, u should renew all of them if u can afford to they have been updated. My #1 went at 66k miles ans had the same symptoms it will get much worse if one goes completely. they cost about 50 bucks each very easy to do yourself, did mine in dark with flashlight in mouth and was simple.

Is anyone replacing them when they're not cracked? What's anticipated lifespan? I think I have 04s and they seem to be fine, but thought I'd reaplace them at 50K for good measure. There's got to be a reason it's been modified several times...

I think a better question is " has anyone seen any coils that were not cracked on removal" they seem to be cracked and still work and then breakdown eventually

I pulled two right after doing my coolant pipes a month or two back, and they looked good. Engine was clunky because a plug was oily. But the coils looked fine. I think they were replaced 20K back.

I have an 04' CS that seems to 'stutter' sometimes when accelerating in 5th or 6th gear. Feels like it's in too high of gear and I will usually downshift with the tip. Mostly notice this when it's warm and been driving a while. No other issues with idle or anything. Could this be coil symptom?
Thanks
