I don't see any other postings about wipers but does anyone else have the problem where their wiper blades do not wipe in the center of the blade on the upstroke?
By center of the blade I mean a portion about and inch to either side of where the blade pivots on the arm. I have had the dealer replace the blades, I have swapped driver to passenger side blades, and even tried bending the blades back to relieve the tension from the ends of the blades that gives the blades their natural arc. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to correct it. It's particularly ugly in rainy, nights with a lot of glare, and this unwiped swath is right in my field of view.

It may be that the vehicle is set up for UK wipers, where you are looking is where the passenger would be seated.
Has cleaning and treating the glass been tried? I like to use powered Ajax with my hand wetted, until I cannot feel any remaining material. I have alwayed used this technique and found it to provide a good deep clean without causing damage to the glass.
Then, I follow up with an extended Rain-X treatment. This is rubbed into the surface, over and over, until a uniform film is observed under all application conditions. This usually takes MANY applications to attain this result, WAY more than the rinse and repeat indicated on the instructions.
Ensure the wiper blades are washed when the vehicle is cleaned.
Once completed, the glass reacts well to wipers and to rain.

I've just learned to ignore it and the fact that the wipers sound like 2 angry elephants having their asses dragged across my windshield.

My dealer adjusted the angle of the arm and that helped (with the elephant noises too)- unfortunately not a warranty adjustment, still some of the best $20 I've spent

I had to describe the noise/chattering to my Porsche service advisor the 2nd time I brought it in and that was the best way to describe it.

You haven't been around since the early days.........
Windshields being replaced due to optical distortion (still exists today, although not as bad as the old days....try looking out of the passenger side while sitting in the driver's seat, moving your head around, you will still see optical distortion due to 'ripples' in the windshield formed during the cooling process in the original tool), windshield wipers being replaced, cardan shafts being replaced, cracked transfer cases, 2 alignment updates, brakes that REALLY squeal, etc.....
The Cayenne is a hit or miss vehicle, sort of like Rear Main Seal issues in the M96/M97 motors........if you're lucky, you're fine.....if you're not lucky, you're screwed for the duration of ownership.
So, consider yourself lucky, coming from someone who is screwed for the duration.
Enjoy the Purplesaurus Rex, and be sure to do a search for the recipe I posted for MadFox a while ago. Easy to make.
