Post Cayenne diaper needed

Figured that would get your attention...welcome to life with my Cayenne, the latest chapter.

At the 'old' age of 58K miles, my 04 Cayenne S has developed the need for an adult diaper.

My wife asked why my Cayenne was leaking blue fluid all over the garage floor the other night. My first reaction was 'whatever', followed by "did I put windshield washer fluid into the crankcase when I ran out of kart oil", followed by "I better check this out...if it's FLAMMABLE fluid, then my prayers have been answered'

Turns out that the pop up headlight washer (not that it does a great job washing the headlights anyways....it's more of a high volume windshield washer fluid consumption device) pops up and just sort of drools/dribbles large amounts of windshield washer fluid EVERYWHERE....ends up pouring out of the bumper by the fog lights....hmmn, never even noticed these things have fog lights.

Called my dealer, since it's going in on the 25th (no, don't ask for what), I asked if he could just add it to the list.

Of course the good news is that the "!" light came on to let me know that it was out of windshield washer fluid....never would have guessed the "!" light was used for something OTHER than 'Check Trailer Lights'

It already has, a lump of tin has warped your mind. Its simple act of peeing on your drive demonstrates this.

Lewis, you have evidently triggered a little known feature that pees washer fluid into your wheel well when too much brake dust accumulates on your wheels. It's called the Porsche Exclamation-point Sanitation System (P!SS) in honor of the after-the-fact warning you received.

Oh, yes it is.

My local dealer hand washes it when it comes in for service, even though I tell him not to bother, but simply to not embarass other customers when they come to pick up their car.

Post Update....diaper repair complete

Picked up the Cayenne from the dealer tonight.
Remove the front bumper, replace the jet carrier (955-628-180-00).
Hopefully no more rivers of windshield washer fluid everytime you park and walk away.

Translated for 'naked' Cayenne owners: $44.15 parts, $223 labor.

Sorry, missed your question.

Much like the Death Star, the Cayenne is the ultimate force in the SUV universe.

Nothing else compares, nothing else comes close, nothing else drives/handles/brakes/accelerates like it, nothing else would ever be worthy of wearing the Porsche crest.

It is the embodiment of perfection in SUV design.
