JARO,
If you are going to hang around Porsche hell (Cayenne ownership) for a while longer, I don't mind if you 'borrow' this:

JARO,
Personally, I prefer the 'biography' penned by our own MadFox:

Lewis, who is Lewis? Do you mean LTC? Oh, that's right --- "Lewis" is his birth name! Hmmm, Lewis is a complex man. A blend of the sophisticated and the -- well, hmm -- not so sophisticated...

I would say think of him as an "odd" genetic defect which mixed the DNA of 007 (daring), a Nascar driver (fast), Goober the garage mechanic (knowledgable but prone to blurting what he thinks), and a German field marshall (God watches over his children and wife). Oh, wait, I forgot, also a 5 year old Kool-Aid stand saleman.

Yup, that puppy is going on the tombstone......love it.

No, but as a child (and my wife says I act like one....still), I did watch WAY too much Monty Python's Flying Circus.

In my 'later' years, I was a huge fan of "Fawlty Towers"....have the DVD collection. One of the funniest sitcoms to ever air on commercial TV.

I do drink a lot of tea now that I think of it..........

Oh, and floor mats.

This is my second Porsche - traded in my 02 Boxster purchased in May 02 on this Cayenne S.

I'm so excited, I'm thinking about cancelling plane tix I have next weekend and driving 600 miles each way just ot spend some time in it.

I'm dreading the break in and the time it will take to .

Best regards,
SnP (The derivation of the name comes from Basalt Cayenne - Salt and Pepper - SnP!)

Congrats, and have fun

Nice looking dogs.
I'm guessing there are a pair of clear side markers in your Cayenne's future?

I agree. With the monochrome scheme the truck has, clear would look much better. Then the only color would be the painted crests on the wheel center caps.

Can the dealer turn the side markers on to flash as turn signals?

I searched the archives last night for places to purchase them. Looks like I'll order some and attempt putting them on myself later this month.

Next weekend we're going to put 1500 miles on the truck to hurry the break in process. We had tickets to fly to my parents house which is 770 miles from us each way, and we cashed them back in so we can drive it. I can't wait to get it broken in so I can really open it up!

I'm not sure this can be done via PIWIS.
Any European Cayenne owners care to chime in?

Sunset Imports (cost + 15% ) is always a good place to start, but clear side markers are available everywhere. You may also try Suncoast Porsche in FL.

The install procedure has been documented a couple of times before. Not nearly as simple as 9x6 clear side marker install (less than 2 minutes), but manageable.

Best of luck with the Cayenne.........and whatever you do, don't plug ANYTHING into the 7 pin Pollack connector next to the trailer hitch.........you've been warned
