Default ANYONE WAITING FOR THE 2007?

With the facelift I'm thinking it is time to trade out of my 03 Cay S. When do you guys think the 07 models will start production? Wonder when the official facelift pics will be avaliable...

And your dealer will likely accept a deposit now to put you on his allocation list when it opens...likely in the late summer.

This site is just awesome ! Lewis every time you post these tid-bits of information I feel a bit enlightened but my curiosity goes wild and I think of starting a new web game - 'Who in the World is Lewis'. I think following hints would be a lot of fun. I can just 'hear' the results now! But, I do respect integrity & contractural agreements, so I will drop it. But, it sure would be fun. JW

Don't worry, in my 'Good Bye Cayenne forum' thread, I'll list a small biography.
Then most people will understand where I've been coming from.......and likely have nightmares as long as they own Porsche vehicles!

Happy Holidays, Best of Luck and Enjoy your Cayenne.

OK OK Enough of the sarcasm ! It will still not help because by then I will want an iPod video interface, on that basis the 2012 model year will be perfect, of course I will be on my second Prius by then, that and the walker.

Lewis, who is Lewis? Do you mean LTC? Oh, that's right --- "Lewis" is his birth name! Hmmm, Lewis is a complex man. A blend of the sophisticated and the -- well, hmm -- not so sophisticated...

I would say think of him as an "odd" genetic defect which mixed the DNA of 007 (daring), a Nascar driver (fast), Goober the garage mechanic (knowledgable but prone to blurting what he thinks), and a German field marshall (God watches over his children and wife). Oh, wait, I forgot, also a 5 year old Kool-Aid stand saleman.

Prius - now that I am getting used to my newest toy I realize it is less of a car and more of a transportation appliance. I must say Toyota got some things right - mine has a jack for an iPOD. But the software pundits are also touting the Prius recall for highway shutdowns as one of the most notorious software glitches of 2005.

Lewis knows how much software is going into our cars (if I guess right, his company uses my company's software products). It's unnerving that the PCM display reads "AM" between noon and 1 pm, or that a little black box turns off your headlights because you are towing a trailer. And trust me, this isn't only a Porsche problem - it's industry wide.

While the motoring public demands more features, they maintain a strict intolerance for product defects. The software guys are going to be under a lot of pressure to deliver iPOD interfaces and such, but each new feature exponentially increases the risk a software glitch. For that I share Lewis's alarm and echo his warnings to us all.
