Default Headlight washers

Now that winter is here I have had the chance to play with my washer system. I thought the headlight washers didn't work, until I held the stalk back for about 10 seconds and sure enough a blast of spray shot out. Not really sure how effective the headlight washer system is. Would like to here your thoughts on this, and not to mention the amount of washer fluid that is used.
Other than that I am loving this thing in winter...its so solid and the handling is amazing in the snow, not to mention the heated seats and steering wheel.

What, am I the only one that has used the headlight washers?

I used mine a couple of times....probably the only times the Cayenne was ever washed.....I especially like when the washer gets left/stuck in the 'up' position, like an inground sprinkler head, and you have to push it back down.

They clean the headlights about as well as you would expect a non contact cleaning method to work....sort of like hosing your car vs actually using a sponge.
They don't use that much fluid, as the duration of the headlight wash is controlled...if you hold it down it doesn't spray continuously.

IIRC, they are heated, so that might help in the winter, assuming of course you clear the snow off the bumper near the headlight so they can pop up all the way; otherwise you do nothing but end up dribbling washer fluid everywhere except on the headlights.

Thanks Lewis, is the washer fluid that is used on the windshield heated as well?

IIRC, yes. They don't heat the tank, rather the jets/sprayers.
