Post Cayenne finally has a purpose in life

Read in this month's Pano Tech Q&A section that the Cayenne's rear main seal has been shown to be an effective 'fix' for the RMS issues experienced in so many of the M97 block engines.

I am going to my dealer this week to ask for a "Cayenne Organ Donor Card" and will allow my Cayenne to be taken off dealer life support and have it's RMS donated to a needy 9x6 or 9x7 car.
Disclaimer: I will assume NO responsibility if the Cayenne RMS causes the Boxster's "!" light to illuminate on the dash.

Seems like the perfect ending for a Cayenne......although I do have to buy a new black suit (VERY tight fitting jacket) for the 'funeral'.

Maybe some forum members can attend the 'service" (not sure if it will be a funeral or exorcism) as well. I'll ask the "staff" of my "vacation villa" if I can be allowed a "day pass", heavily medicated and supervised naturally, in order to attend the services.

Why not cremate it, it may be more fun to watch.

Or better still, do a Jeremy Clarkson and film it being smashed with a demolition ball, then play it back in slow motion for all the mourners to watch.

I trust you will be making the eulogy.I think it is only appropriate.

(BTW....save me a seat in the front row, please)

I'll believe it when I see the results over a period of time.

Great, the home has a 350 lb intern from cellblock 3 who is great with sponge bathes.

Yeah, be easy on him, they're adjusting his meds again.

Buying another Porsche....I suppose I could buy a 2nd Cayenne, that way when one's in the shop, I always have another......no, never mind.

Tomorrow, I hope I'm NOT going to be a proud 911 owner... want to wait awhile longer.. but salesguy called because of a trade-up.. However, while I'm there, I'm going to get the aluminum reapplied on the pax door.. double sticky tape.. salesman called and they got a 6800 mile, 997-S, cab, in an acceptable color (he said most options except hardtop and NAV) List at 100 plus.... would have the 6-100K warranty.. gonna go "test drive".. this may be a mistake... I may never get out of there with my wallet still in the hip.

btw, the salesman said that there is a recall on all four of the lower door alum. trim because of it falling off? anyone had them all replaced .. if you've not had one come loose (was starting to flap at interstate speed so pulled it off) PAG actually installed them with double-sided foam tape?! I know LTC believe it.. but how cheap-**** is that?

Any opinions what the price should be? out of the gate he said 89K?
