I had the dealership install aluminum pedals and a footrest (they charged for 1.5 hours). Now the vehicle only weighs in at a lithe 4,999 pounds. The best part about it is that I now have a decent footrest. I purchased the pedals at Ultimate Pedals (www.ultimatepedals.com) and had them put the Porsche insignia on the pedals for a nominal charge. I was impressed by the product and the price (no affiliation whatsoever). See pix in links below:
