Eric is a good guy.
He painted the rear bumperettes on the 996TT Lapis Blue and came out perfect (I was one of his early customers when he first started doing these). He also did a non smoker's kit painted Lapis Blue to match the painted center console...again, spot on perfect.
Oh, and of course, front bumper plugs for the 996TT as well.
Highly recommended.

Did you remove your bumperettes to be painted? If so is it an easy removal?
Thanks,
Todd

so you sent them, waited a week or two, and then they were sent back. Since I don't drive the 996TT often, the wait was no big deal.
IIRC, now he has 'core' bumperettes available and runs and exchange program...order bumperettes in your color and he mails them to you while you send yours, which will then be used for a future order. I'm sure the details are on his website
As far as removal, it takes less than a minute. There is a small access flap/cover on the bottom of the rear bumperettes. Simply insert the correct size metric long handle hex key/ Beta wrench (I dont recall the size off the top of my head, but can check tonight and post if you like), loosen the single hex head cap screw, and remove the bumperette by sliding it straight back. The mount is simply an inverted L shape piece of aluminum.
Makes a BIG difference in the look of the car. I still do not understand why PAG leaves the rear bumperettes black on the Turbo (and it's not even an option in the Exclusive programme, last time I checked), while they do paint the rear bumperettes on the std Carreras.

And I've never figured out why they drill holes in the front bumper from the factory on 911's
and don't on the Cayenne. I hate running a front plate even though it's illegal in my state. I told the dealer NOT to drill the Cayenne and it looks so clean. The bumper plugs work fine on the 911 but I'd rather not even have to use them. I bought plugs from Eric but the car actually came with them from the factory. Not as nice as his but I'll use them until they need to be replaced. My other german cars, including Audi and BMW also don't come with the front bumpers drilled. (Once, even though my salesman knew expressly NOT to drill, my M3 had the holes drilled by the time I saw the car 1 hour after it was driven off the truck- some idiot lot jockey must have had the drill waiting as it was driven off the truck. They did exchange the whole front bumper with one from another car the same colour so I've got to give that to them...)

You can use a long Craftsman L shaped allen key (just long enough), but I preferred to use one of these:

Got exposed to Beta tools when my son started karting. You can't have a kart and not have these T handle hex wrenches

I wonder if Eric has plugs in this color yet? May want to give him a heads up, just in case.
