I think the new DP1US from Harman Kardon is the best device yet, it still uses a wired FM Modulator but gives full control of the iPod. $199 'ish. Uses a remote display and a "idrive" type control unit.

I would agree for control of the iPod alone. I would like to see where anyone that has mounted one in a Cayenne.

I agree, mounting could end up looking fugly. Not sure if the product has made it into channel yet, I see lots of reserve ordering at the likes of Circuit City.
