Well, I've been using the FACTORY Bluetooth setup for over one year now. Works just fine. The factory hands-free phone kit provides lots of flexibility for varying handsets. It is an OEM version of the THB-Bury setup and integrates quite nicely with the CDR-23/Bose/MOST setup found in Cayennes. My HP iPaq H6315 supports Bluetooth and it connects and works well with my Porsche phone prep kit. It is expensive? Yes. Does it integrate well with the factory sound system? Yes. Does it look like it "fits in" with the remainder of my Cayenne's interior? Yes. Is it flawless? No, it has its idiosyncracies like any other electronic device. Is it usable? Absolutely.

I believe that it can be retrofited to any 2005 Cayenne and prior year Cayennes thta have the CDR-23 head-unit/ PMC-II units prior to MY 2005 were not supported.

The Phone Prep Kit has been out for over a year. It was tough to get the Bluetooth adapter from either THB or Porsche, but it IS possible. I'm not at home so I can't tell you exactly, but I believe that the factory Phone Prep Kit hit the streets in May of 2004. I was, as usual, one of the early adopters (you can tell by the arrows in my back). All in all, I'm quite happy with the solution. Remember that the solution would not work with the PCM II setup, only the CDR-23 headunit. I think that restriction changed somewhere along the way. You should be able to search the archives to find PLENTY of info on this.
