Hi There!

Just got my Cayenne back from the dealer... Software updates, infamous A506 seatbelt recall, popping rear glass hatch recall, remoter control recall. Got my passenger side light replaced due to faulty connections causing false burnt cornering light messages.

This is my big question: I saw in others forums that a Cayenne owner got a 2006 remote with the separate lock/unlock buttons on his 2004 Cayenne. I was told by my dealer this could not be done... Have any of you gotten this done?? I got a new old-style remote out my visit, wish I could of gotten the new one...

Dont' know about the keyfob issue (personally I find they work better for unlocking the doors if you simply THROW the keys at the door and hope for the best).

With regards to A506, rennlist user PTEC posted the 'how to get rid of the seat belt belt buckle devices' in a recent post. 5 minutes work in the garage and mine were removed.

I had my fobs changed, but the new ones still only have one button for locking and unlocking. Knock on wood, they have worked fine (my old ones were useless).

The 06 Models do have seperate buttons for lock and unlock, but it cannot be retrofitted as it requires the reciever and antennas to be changed.

In other words it probably can be changed but the $$ will be to high, Toby another project ?
