I can see marinas charging a little more; but that a buck+ more??? ($3.88/gal reg) Additionally I don't think they pay road tax out of the gal.

Those prices alone, justify the tow pak on the Pepper.

I'll **** and moan, but we're going to get used to it in cars, (but I'm not going quietly..)

I dont mind the gas charge, what kills me is the fact that most of the public will not compalin about bottled water, if you bought a gallon of the little bottles that everyone comsumes you would pay $6.00 a gallon, but you will complain about gas? Ride your bike and enjoy the water.

I've never purchased gas from marinas at Tahoe. The boating season is so short there, that I wonder how old the gas is. The place that services, stores, and launches my boat fills it at the local gas station then adds a 20% service fee. Towing this sucker is a big PITA so it's worth it. I just came across the linked article about a guy who could use some safety training.

I am stationed in Germany and we pay $2.51 for a gallon of Super Plus (93 Octane US) at our local Army and Air Force Exchange (or the PX). Bear in mind this price is 'tax' free !

Torags, why do so many people think the Europeans have 'free' health care? My wife is European and let me tell you, her health coverage IS NOT free.

I have hesitated to bring my TT up to the dock, as I was uncertain about operating it above the specified fording depth. I guess Torags has proven that should not be a concern.

I only do it in sweet water; no saltwater. Peppers are having rust spots (rear pan) in areas that use salt during the winter.
