Mikla,

Im glad I have been helpful !! Please dont forget to post some pics soon !! anyway which rims are you going for??

...personally I love pirelli tyres...I have them on my 993 turbo 'S'(PZero) and on my 19" wheels for my cayenne. My brother also has the scorpion AT on his range rover on 22" rims and it rides great.

Buena Suerte!

John,

I'm going with Sport Design 20" wheels. I'll post some pic as soon as I have them on.

I also have Pirellis on my 930, but I don't have yet a reference for the Cayenne (PZero Rosso).

Again, thanks so much for your help.

my cayenne came with the Pzero Rosso from the factory...it is porsche's recommended tyre for that size, although now i have put pirelli scorpion ice and snow 255/55 for winter use.

I drove the car from Leipzig to Amsterdam to London on the Pzero's and it was a fantastic tyre.Great grip in the dry and wet, comfortable ride.

I'm planning to put the Scorpions as the winter set. Though I don't drive on snow I believe these tyres work very well with low temp and on the wet. What's your opinion on them?

The size you mention (255/55) is with 20" or the 18" configuration?

Pirelli now do a 255/50 r19 in the Scorpion Ice and snow (sorry,..the 255/55 was what i had on my touareg 18") . However the Scorpion AT comes in 20" and bigger......

I have the 18's Pirelli Ice & Snows and love them. They are a good tire in the rain and do an excellent job in the snow!

I am thinking of getting snow tires/wheels w/out the TPMS to save $400. Do you think it is worth it or will I be so annoyed w/ the warning light that I will wish I spent the money?

TnelsonSea - your dealer can turn off the TPMS warning if your winter wheels do not have sensors. Then in spring he can turn it back on. Do that a few times and you are better off buying the darn sensors or, put up with the warning light in the display.
