Default Cayenne S 2005 with eibach springs rough ride

Hi there.....this is my first post.....just got my new Cayenne S 2005....although i love the feel of the car engine wise, i had eibach springs installed and it is rough and tumble....everyone who rides in the car complains how bumpy it is....being in Montreal with the terrible roads does not help.....any suggestions that would give me the same lowered look and tight feel without the harshness on the bumps?

thanks

saw a few aftermarket adj-air kits available. one is by cargrapics the other (heard it's pretty cool) is by techart. i think preformance products had a few pages on the cayenne in their most recent catalog... the cargrapic stuff was in there. if i recall it ran about $2500-$3000 for the set-up.

bol.

thanks for the reply...from what i have read the kits you refer to are for cayennes that come with the air suspension from factory and this is a module that lowers the car more....not something that works if you dont have the factory install....did you see something different? thanks again....best

You can try Champion, H&R or Techart, I believe DEETZ have techart springs maybe he can describe the ride. I'm also thinking about lowering so iguess Eibach is out Do you have pics of your car with Eibach? want to see how low it is.

by the way...eibach lowers the car fractionally more than H&R....as for techart and the others....it is just the name on the spring...they are made by H&R and Eibach....i would suggest looking into something else like I am...i have to say the car is very very solid in the turns and the feel is great....if youlive in LA or some place like that where the roads are smooth as they dont have the severe change in temperature...you will be fine.....as soon as i figure out how to upload the photos i will post them...the car looks great...all blacked out, panaromic room, sport package and sport exhaust springs and Kahn 20 inch wheels....i dare not go bigger again because of the rods here in MTL....best

Trozen,

I went with EIBACH, after all the research it ended up EIBACH and HR makes most of those
springs like you said, there was a guy in EBAY live close by me in Monterey , CA sold it to me for $290
new. Like you said I live in Northern CAL, not a lot of bumpy roads and I got my 18 snow tires during winter to go skiing so no big deal. Did you get your pics yet?? i want to see your car lowered, I'm sure some people wanna see it too...thanks

Alex, I want to go for a ride and see how bumpy it is. I'm also thinking about lowering it a bit.

Kirby,

I'll let you know after the install, my wheels are on but still waiting for the EIBACH, I'm scared now, lol. But they said they make Techarts so we'll see, I saw the comparison on tirerack between eibach and hr, not much difference here's the link.
http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/t...bach_hr_rd.jsp
then again that's a bimmer theyre using for testing not a heavy cayenne

Hey Sam,

I backed out on the Eibach since the guy I ordered from ebay , didnt have it in stock, ebay says he has 2 available,LOL, so I got my money back and bought Techart springs(also made by eibach for Techart). I bought it from lucentmotors. It will be installed tomorrow by Sharkster in their new location of www.sharkwerks.com (used to be Akkurat Performance), lucky you it's in Fremont I will post pics, I will also be at the Concours in Carlsen Porsche on the 24th, maybe you and Kirby can test it out, hopefully my alignment wont be all screwed up, lol I'm wanted to get it done cause I keep seeing that gap between my fenders and tires. I'll wait till Deetz gets the coilover first, Deetz youre it
