I was told that the Cayenne had a number of chassis mods over the Tourag, is this true?

Lewis, you mean your Rolex doesn't give you a "check trailer lights" message every time you look at the time...

Thanks, I needed that today.

Actually, the continuously lit "!" does help keep you awake during long nightime tows.

I just got back from Watkins Glen and ended up taking the bride's 2005 Excursion diesel (44 gallon tank allows for non stop Boston to Watkins Glen with plenty of diesel to spare).
It was a much more enjoyable tow than with the Cayenne....no warnings, no lights, no worries. And as a bonus, mirrors that actually extend out for towing. Can't believe PAG markets the Cayenne as a tow vehicle and offers NO tow mirror solution. The current mirrors with an enclosed car hauler would likely be considered illegal due to limited rear visibility.

"2004 VW Touareg V8 w/Cayenne S suspension"
Now that is interesting!!!

did you switch everything (dampers, springs, A/R bars)

makes a touareg more attactive to me
(although i have to say it is 3 or 4th on the list right now for a new truck) seems the Range rover is Much more reliable than either the Treg-or Cayenne

At least my Cayenne's clock keeps accurate time unlike my rolexs I guess I am just lucky when it comes to the Cayenne's problems
