Default 18" Cayenne S wheels on Turbo

WIll these fit. Have been offered a set to go on the car. See post below, I think I need to go to a tyre with more sidewall due to the problems with the bridge near our house leading to kerbed wheels.

Will these fit on the turbo. Any safety reason why they would not be suitable?

Are Potenza tyres ok for the 18" wheel?

Yes, the 18" Cayenne S wheels will fit the C-Turbo.

Thanks. Any particular performance reason why one would prefer the 18" Turbo wheel over the Cayenne S wheel?

I doubt if there is any difference in performance, I think the Turbo wheel is easier to clean though.

That is the understatement of the year! The S wheels are a huge PITA to clean and keep clean!

I think the turbo wheels looks better than the S. I had my dealer move my 18 turbo wheels from my old v6 to my new S, just my preference But if you want to trade your Technos, you can have my turbo wheels anytime
Sorry to hear about your wheel issue that really sucks..

Alex,

What was your experience with the V6 and the 18" rims? Did they seem to be heavier, affecting the ride, steering response and acceleration? Do you happen to know how much heavier the 18" tire/rims are vs. the 17" tire/rims?

I currently have the 17" OEM rims on my Cayenne, and have been thinking that at some point I might like to try 18" inch rims, but not at the expense of the above.

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Anyone else that upsized to 18" inchers from 17" inchers have any insight?

Hey Jim,

The 18's didnt change the ride at all, actually better, and the handling improved a lot.
I'm using Yokohama Geolander HT-S g052 all season,M+S. Didnt really feel the weight
much, but I'm sure it's heavier than the 17's, have to check the actual weight.

So should I run Pirelli PZeros, Conti Sport Contact 4x4s or Bridgestone Potenzas? Road only, no ice/snow, prefer low noise and good handling.
