Default Ride comfort on 22"s

Has anyone here got 22 inch wheels on a cayenne with air suspension??
I am wondering what difference there is to ride quality? I know there will be more tyre noise from the low profile rubber, but can anyone advise, from experience, what other side-effects I can expect??

Thanks for your help.

John

It's definately going to be a rougher ride. I find it to be tolerable, but it is a very subjective assessment. The best thing to do is see if you can test drive a vehicle that is equipped with larger wheels and see how it feels. What is a liitle bit rough for one person may be punishing for another. All a question of perspective.

Rich, I've got 22's on my CS without the air. I like the ride alot. Sure, it is more firm than the 18's but ALOT cushier than the 993TT for sure! If I wanted a soft ride, I would have purchased a Lexus.

hey guys... fwiw put 21's on today (bbs w/ rev lip). thought... wth! split the diff.
looks & handles sweet (just gotta'be careful w/ tight driveways). the rears are actually designed wider giving her a killer/mean ***. will post pics when i get a moment...

& btw: feels more nimble w/ new 21" set-up & just slightly more noise than w/ the stockugly 18's.
very surprised

Just got my 22"s fitted on my turbo...can hardly feel any difference on comfort setting, becomes more noticeable on normal/sport settings. Only slighly more vibration through the steering wheel at motorway speed (low profile tyres).Car handling feels really good, maybe even slightly better than stock due to the wider track (i had to use spacers: 15mm front/ 7mm rear, because wheel would not fit properly, due to my upgraded powerkit brakes.)

BTW here are some pics of recent mods: midnight tint/22"Gemballa(w/spacers)/Full Zymol wax application(every month)/licence plate.

next to do : remove side sills, and replace with 101mm chrome sidebars.
