I hate to say it but I didn't expect to be carrying quarts of oil with me and stopping along the side of the highway after the check-engine light come on and pouring quarts of oil in.

Has anyone else had this problem or is this Unique?

Frank, I don't mean to sound sarcastic, but you really should be using your dipstick on a regular basis to check your oil level; NOT waiting for a warning light to come on! Top it off at home or at a gas station and there's no need to carry oil with you to pour in at the side of the road when your check engine light comes on.
