Being a Porsche newbie, a newbie question.
I notice a lot of people have replaced the air filter with a 3rd party filter. I have an 05 S (and since no turbo, not sucking down as much air) and was wondering if it would really make any (noticeable) difference. Does this void the warranty?

IMHO there is negligible improvement with other airfilters. As long they are OEM then they shouldn't void warranty. I had a set of BMC's put in by my dealer so you can bet the dealer wouldn't do anything to void the warranty. People have dyno'ed there vehicles before and after airfilter replacement with minimal boost. I wouldn't do it if you live in an urban or dusty area. Just my 0.02.
