Default Removing A pillar cover??

Want to remove the driver's side A pillar cover to make my V1 hardwire a little nicer looking. I don't want to just pull it off in case I wreck something- any hints from those who have already done it? Thanx...

You dont need to remove it, push the cable behind it using a plastic blade.

I asked the same question earlier and got this reply from Blast:

"It's not fun...

I'm very used to BMW...so I'm not "scared" to break things...

But...pry out the little ABS plastic logo...

Then remove the star screw...

Then yank on the whole pillar towards the opposite A pillar....after you hear 2 pops...for the 2 plastic rivets.....carefully pull out the piece.

It is NOT fun to put it back in....just reverse the directions...

Good Luck,

Parag"

There is power available in the roof console. I have mine mated up to the wiring for the rearview and then into the console. You can wire it up that way. Much cleaner install than running down the A pillar IMHO.

Let me know if you want pics.

Its easy to put the a pillar trim panel back in, just watch from outside the car( I stand on the door sill and watch through the windshield) as you guide the trim clips into thier slots. Then give it a good whack above where the trim clips pop into the body.
