Hope this isn't the start!
Have a '04 Cayenne S with just over 7000 miles. No problems at all until a week ago when the airbag light came on. Codes 1217 and 1218 fixed by redoing wiring under each seat. Then last night when my wife was driving it, she came home to say the ! was lit and it said cornering lights malfunctioned. Notice they don't work- will check for fuses, etc. Hope this isn't the start of numerous trips to the dealer...
(just checked fuse 21- looked ok but replaced it- now they work fine! Wonder for how long...)

The corner light warning goes away automatically.
I believe you can get the warning when the car is parked on an incline with the wheel turned to almost full lock.

skl,
My S is in the shop (the ongoing W406 towing controller update/saga) and while it was in there I asked them to check electrical problems my wife notices (I apparently have just grown to ignore or not notice them) like "!" light, no cornering lights, no green arrows for directionals, voltmeter reads 8V but everything else is fine, etc.
My dealer (who as I mentioned previously, if they sold Kia's I'd buy one...they're that good) called and said that the vehicle electronics control unit (under the dash) has been sending out fault codes since I've had the car, No warnings displayed on the dash multifunction display however, so I had no idea whatsoever!
They are replacing it under warranty and hopefully it will eliminate some of these issues.
Perhaps your dealer can check this on yours?
This has been the most tiring Porsche ownership experience to date. My wife's new 05 PSD Excursion is due in around Christmas; I may take her current 00 PSD Excursion and just get rid of the Cayenne.
