think of it as a raised wagon, or a truck... wait that doesnt help either.

100% sure. The Quattro factory (where they assemble the RS models) only has capacity to build one model at a time. That's presently the soon-to-be-launched RS4.

You have to remember that there are only 100 or so RS6+s in the country (if that), so its a question of waiting for one to come up for sale. My advice is to try one of the nearly-new RS6s, and see if you like it. If you do, you'll never know what you're missing with the Plus... otherwise, if it HAS to be the plus, just wait, or contact a company (try Top555.co.uk - I've heard good things about them) that will source one for you.

Thanks Urban

Have sourced an Avus Silver/light silver leather one with 5k on the clock. Not my favourite colour combo - but looks excellent buy.

Very excited. Depending how much I like it, can look for a Plus late.

Again, thanks for your wise counsel.

"Titchadesh!" (no direct translation, but kindof a combination of "enjoy" and "with health")

You won't regret it, but make sure to ban ice-cream in the car as that silver leather is VERY delicate...

Now enjoyimg my RS6. This is the best car that I have ever owned - and the car theay Porsche should have made instead of the Cayenne.

My cousin who also owns a Carrera 4 is so taken by mne that he us buying one too,

Spizz,

Happy to hear you are enjoying the RS6, beautiful car!

I am happy to tell you that many of us are just as happy with our Cayenne's and glad Porsche built it, it's the best of both worlds!

Cheers

Yet another RS6 owner chiming in. First of all don't worry about the battery in the trunk space........you'll never put anything back there because it will just bounce around when you're racing around town. It's a heavy car and you don't want any extra weight when an M3 or M5 lines up w/you.

Don't worry about E55 owners......they're all a bunch of grandma's that never floor it.

@Atari: Speak for yourself. I've done cross-continental road-trips (London to Monaco) with luggage, a wardrobe, and a dog.

There's something deeply unnatural about the speed fully loaded with crap...

Here in the states, the upcoming RS4 sounds like a real charger! 6 speed and no tip like the RS6. We have an '04 S4 6 speed as we need quattro for the winter. Great car and it sounds pretty good too though my son wants to put a lo resistance cat-back system on it. (Always wants to mod something- wonder who he learned that from??????)
