Smile My Delay & Hesitation is fixed.

I took my 05 CS to my dealer yesterday for the acceleration delay problem. The dealer found the problem is from a loose connection at the air mass sensor/kickdown adaptation. My CS has no more delay and has very good response now . The gas pedal feels different than before too. I don't know is this the same problem for most of the 03 & 04, but my delay problem has nothing to do with the software or control unit.

By the way, my car had this problem very first when I got it with less than 10 miles. The service manager said they should catch it during the factory inspection. I am starting to worry about Porsche Cayenne's quality control.

Which dealership did you take it to?

Dave I,

I took it to Carlsen. So it is very close to you.

I've also taken my car to Carlsen in Redwood city and has been happy with their service. They are slow sometimes (mostly because of lack of parts) but they are quite thorough.

For '03, '04 builds, there is a new TSB about kickdown adaptation procedure. Many dealers do not know how to operate PT2 properly with a sw bug in '03/'04 builds so it may worth mentioning it to your dealer.
