Default best 22 tire

I know quite a few guys here have 22's which tire looks better 295/30 265/35 or 285/35? I know the 265 is kind of skinny but my offset is very aggressive so it might look better. I think the 285/35 will fill the fender a little better but its taller and gearing can be an issue. Also brandwise pirelli's, nitto, kumho, toyo, bfgoodrich? Which ones do you guys recommend. I've always disliked kumhos on expensive cars but if its a good tire I'll run it. I need opinions to make an informed decision. Also nitto now has a 23 that will fit cayenne application and its closer to stock diameter than most 22's. Just a heads up.

I ordered my 22" HRE wheels with the 285/35 Michelin Diamaris tires. It should be here by end of the week or early next week.

have 22" techart they are 10" wide you really need 295 and still have no tire wheel overlap. I use Pirelli Scorpions look at my avatar

Oh yeah, you guys with 22's should think about having your calipers painted (I like red!) and cross drill, slot, or dimple your rotors. Nice look.

Pirelli Scorpions are nice. 295/30/22 recommended for 22x10 wheels. Same recommendations for X5's. I have em, love em. Toyo S/T proxes are available i have on my SVT truck in same sizes above. I was being cheap (about $250 less than Pirellis overall), the Scorpions are better traction IMO. I like Pirellis the best for the truck / SUV street rides.

A 285/35 vs. 295/30 is not going to feel much of any difference concerning ride quality. A 265 is too narrow, probably unsafe also if using 10" width wheel on truck/Suv.

I had Pirelli Scorpion Zero on my X5, it had 22" too. My wheels are delayed again, should be here really soon, I will post my comment on it ( I am getting Michelin Diamaris )

tkerrmd: good point, I am having my calipers red + new rotors ^^
