Default NE1 bought Cayenne for wife?

My family is growing so were looking for a larger SUV. She's next up for a new car. Since I'm not likely to replace my 993 anytime soon the Cayenne is the next best thing.

It seems that most Cayenne owners are men but have any of you bought for your wife or any posts from women?

PS - shhhhhhh...it's a birthday gift.

Sort of.
I bought a CS, so when I borrow my wife's Ford Excursion, she has something with an automatic to drive. She enjoys driving it.

Replaced a HD crew cab pickup because my wife wouldn't drive itz(too big) and we could downsize our tow vehicle because we were getting a smaller aluminum trailer. She drives a MCS most of the time and loves it, but also uses the CS and loves it too. Doesn't think it's too big- she's afraid to drive the other Porsches because all the men in the family are just a little too **** about the cars...

Bought the 2nd CT for my wife (arrives Monday), the first one got totaled. she would have preferred the S (light to light driving) but the devil wouldn't let me do it.

It's that good...I'm trying to talk my son into letting me replace his BMW (3 series) with a Cayenne S. I won't ever drive that car so it's OK for him.

We'll see how that goes.

Our Cayenne is my wife's primary car, but I convinced her to trade in her A4 Quattro cause my son is getting bigger, so I guess like she said it's mine too, hehe. Actually I made her choose between the rx330, fx35 and the Volvo, but she chose the Porsche. She loves the interior and the handling, maybe because of the Audi capabilities, she said she feels really secure in the Cayenne. Lucky for me, :-).

Cayenne S is wife's daily driver- finally got her out of a Suburban (yeah!); she loves it so much she has the beginnings of P-car sickness..

Thanks for the replies. We initially were looking at the E-Class wagon but in Houston it frequently rains heavy so it's nice to have the height.

Thank you again. I may see you all back on the boards soon.

On account of the fact that they wouldn't swap this GT in Leipzig with the CT she payed for, the CT is her daily driver. She loves it, but the dang thing never gets above 3000 rpm. I'm thinking that whole little adaptive learning system needs to be reset, I need to take it for a week, and then give it back to her. Anyway, it's great for her and accomodates the kids.

How old are you kids? Mine are newborns. I'm afraid they'll tear it up ('cause I want to keep it forever) when they grow older.

Our Cayenne S is my wife's daily transportation and our family's family car. Three daughters aged 9, 7 and 2. Baby car seat in middle seat of the CS, no problem. Also plan to keep the CS for a long time. Looking into in car DVD entertainment for the kids some day. The CS compliment my 993 nicely both in our garage and when we drove both cars out together. Good luck in your search.

kids are 5, 2, 1/2. We look at it this way: we like performance cars but she is at a point in life where she's a kid taxi right now. So muddy soccer shoes, snowy days, etc, etc, it's going to get dirty. We'd just assume forget the price and enjoy the vehicle. When we make it out of this stage of ourlives (assuming we do), then upgrade to what will be a newer probably faster Cayenne.

I mainly wanted the CT, but the wife drives it more than me! It's the only automatic we have, and she prefers it over the sticks, but still likes the other cars as well. She just doesn't have the passion for cars that I do. I will say, she always says she is spoiled by the interior of the CT because it is head and shoulders above anything out there. The alcantara headliner is beautiful.
