Default Sunroof leak

I have an 04 Turbo. Heavy rain last night and what appears to be a leaking sunroof/moonroof this morning. Area around the light cluster and sunglass holder very wet but on passenger side only. Into the dealers in the next day or so to investigate, but anyone come across this before?

It may be an obstructed drain tube.

I found water in the same area this week - a few drops out of the sunglass holder on our 05 CTT. I am having the mechanic look at it while having the tranny leak fixed...wonder if the two are related. ;-)

Sorry to revive an old thread. Anyone get any satisfaction with this issue? I had a small drop in this same area with my pano roof 08 GTS.

On the Panoramic roof - the sunglass holder leak culprit is the very loose forward rubber seal in front of the wind deflector panel. In fact, with the wind deflector up - you can easily pull the rubber strip up and out. At speeds above 100mph, high-velocity air will "peel" the rubber strip away from the sunroof channel. The remedy is to loosen the two front rails with a T25 bit and clean inside the front strip with alcohol. Lift the loose rails up to allow the front corners of the strip to get cleaned-up. Apply a thin bead of Shoe Goo inside the bare channel and gingerly tuck everything back into the sunroof channel, including the corners. Tape off the glued strip with Painter's tape and allow to dry for 48 hours.

Thanks for this. Yesterday mine peeled out at about 75mph. Glad it wasn't raining. Shoe goo is clever ideas

Do you have to keep the roof open for the 48 hours while the glue dries? Thanks.

I didn't - it helps seal the rubber tight
